Grew up on east coast. Used to sail a lot... just getting back into it now that my kids are older. Looking to find people that like to sail.... looking for good spots to sail. I live in Elgin, IL but I'm willing to drive for spots worth while. Fox river... Chicago.... So. Wisconsin

We usually meet at the opposite side of the lake from Calumet Ave, Indiana. There are two locations with parking lot, windsurfers like more the south location of Sheffield Ave, kiters like more the north site of 121st str and Calumet Ave. You should wear good boots for this lake, there is lot of stones and who knows what on the bottom. I am going to sail on Saturday May 5th (Wind Permitting) .... Was thinking Lake Shabbona or suburbs... though the long-term forecast look like light wind :( any suggestions?12 years ago
