I'M A NEWBIE! I have taken one lesson up in WI, and loved it. I live withen earshot of boats and jetskis on Clinton Lake, and I see guys out there on boards and kites and would love to learn more. My wife thinks it would be a good thing for me to get into (because it is better exercise and less money than a boat ;)

I am in Springfield and am an active windsurfer. I went out over 20 times this summer. I am also a member of the Decatur Yacht Club and Springfield Motorboat club. I have been sailing and windsurfing since the 80's but am what I would consider a veteran beginner. I have numerous vintage longboard rigs and I will be selling a couple this spring. Maybe we can get together next summer in Springfield or Decatur and I can help you get started. Did you buy a rig yet?7 years ago -
