Great video. I learned how to sail there in the mid 80's. Many happy memories. Some time I'll have to put my stuff in the Van and drive in. Read More...

Clear Lake, IA does look good. I see a City Beach Park and boat ramp. Jim Nagel may know more. Another lake also on a high flat spot is Storm Lake, IA. I'm looking at AWAYSIS Park. Always a good sign when a lake needs breakwalls...muhahaha.
Anybody ever sailed at Clear Lake, IA? Was up there over the weekend for a show at the Surf Ballroom. Lake looks great and they say it is one of the best sailing lakes in Iowa. Any comments appreciated.
In Princeton, we had a buddy who lived at the North end of River drive. I think the land between the road and river is public. If not, there is a small park along that road. The yacht club had some great guys when we lived there so that might be a good option.
I love the Volar! What a great board!!
Rich, thanks for the info. They are building a new I-74 bridge right now, so not sure there will be any sailing there. If I can get my foiling together, I may try down at the Davenport Yacht Club since they sail some small boats there. Where did you go in Princeton?
Hi Ed - We went to school in Davenport in the 90s and sailed often on the Mississippi right under the I-74 bridge Leach Park (worked for straight West for some reason) and at the Ben Butterworth Parkway boat ramp for SW days. We'd go up to Princeton for N or S days. Not sure how the pollution is nowadays but seemed to be ok way back then.
