You can see the vapor trail like behind a jet plane!

I would like to see more categories. With more categories we get more posts, more "contestants," possibly more personal involvement. Midwest windsurfing on fluid, fresh water is a category we already have. In a few months our fluid water is replaced by ice & snow sailable by windsurfing rigs on blades or skis which could be two more categories. In between when we have water that is too cold for most of us, but still too fluid for ice sailing, some of us do land sailing on parking lots with windsurfing rigs, both standing up over wheels or sitting down (two more categories).
I think we shouldn't leave out windsurfers in other areas who otherwise participate in WindsurfIllinois. And we shouldn't leave out those of us who travel elsewhere and score an epic session on either salt or fresh water.
Probably the easiest way to handle more categories is by creating more threads. So when I post a GPS result from land sailing with a windsurfing rig on a board with 4 wheels I will start a new thread. (I'll be pretty easy to beat because I'm a cautious guy regarding threats to body parts.)

That all sounds good but Reid already has a full time job!

This is Sylvain's thread. It's his work. His charts. His say.

Like Del, I earlier voted for as much inclusion and categories.

If Del wants to start and manage a Land Sailing thread, fire it up, baby.

Last time a French King did not listen to the people, his head rolled free on the ground
Soooooo
I will agree to open it up to whatever water location!
Which means, Ady, you are now 2nd, but it also means Europe places 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Here's another thing to weigh. I threw Rich and Kristen speeds in this speed thread. They better come in and claim THEIR OWN speeds or fall off Sylvain's chart. Meaning you can only be counted if you're participating in this thread. What do you all think about that? So the question to them is... Are you in or out?

Fresh Water

Speed Strip (Offshore wind, Behind structure - breakwall, causeway, dam, ect...)

Why have (Kirsten Baas 39 mph)? She is not even in the USA! Let's try NOT to compare apple to oranges. Just my thoughts.

This gets weirder by the day so I’m withdrawing any rules requests. Free for all means Albeau! Try and beat the King-only 62 mph peak speed!

I'm hoping Sylvain will decide current year speeds or within the last 12 months are what is wanted.

I will start a land sailing speed thread fairly soon (not opposed to anyone else starting one).
