Do you guys have any base? Nope, just gusts. Turns out 11:45 to 1:00 was the peak wind. Not forecast. Bloomington hit an air temp of 81 F and Decatur hit 83 F. This was the first time ever the conditions caught me between suit thicknesses. Put on the 3.2 or roast in the 5.4. I was already sweating before putting on the 3.2. And everything was cool until I fell in. Water temp starts with a 5! I stayed with the 3.2. A lot of incentive not to fall in. I uphauled instead of waiting on a waterstart. I went way into pelican speed cove with 5.8 and 108. It's deep in there. The hook point is the only shallow spot. It's amazing how many speed setup days you see up there over years until you put a GPS on. The wind faded and I did a lot of schlogging. We did have our gust moments. I messed up the GoPro. I thought I turned it off after setting it up. Turns out it was in sleep mode. Only got 20 min of record time. Sorry. Great to see everybody!
