Clinton Lake Forecast

Looks like a good day for Purgatory Cove. Wind WNW in the 5.8 range. Have a sail on either side in the car. If it's your first time at Purgatory I can walk you through (from a safe distance). Tell me now so I can look for ya. Who else is going?

Hi Reid
Which wind model forecast do you use? The one you showed at 2pm with 20+ mph winds over the bottom part of Michigan lake, I' curious about it because none of the forecasts I use show that.

Weather (top menu) > All Weather > SailFlow Wind Forecast (Old) - Upper Midwest. Then hit the next arrow to go through the forecast times. Don't tell anybody...

Fun day at Purgatory. Got on the water with 5.8 and 108L around 11:30 am . Just when you wanted to come in and rig a 6.9 here comes the wind dropping down from the dam pool into the main pool. It just got better and better. Nice to have that much fetch and reach. Just lean back on it. Wind wavered from WNW to NW. Some motorboats were freaked out we go that fast. When there's wind in July it's the first time some motor-boaters are seeing windsurfing live. Water was so warm you couldn't wait to get back up on the board to cool off in the wind. Didn't get shots of folks this time. Nobody headed up wind with me. I got off the water around 4:30 pm .
