TOPIC: Anybody know about Miller Beach Marquette Park?

Anybody know about Miller Beach Marquette Park? 5 years 8 months ago #1

On Saturday, Chicago will be an on-shore washing machine at either Greenwood or Montrose, I have never gone to Miller Beach area, but it looks like a perfect side shore launch, easy access. Anybody been there, think its going to be good this weekend?

Unfortunately I’m blocked this week, otherwise I would have been happy to go exploring with you. I’ve been to Miller/Lake St. beach several years ago in my intermediate days with moderate winds, would be interesting to check it now . Just not this week.

David, I will be willing to go. I went there once, but I was all by myself and decided not to go for it. I can go after 12 pm. If you're interested send me a PM so I can send you my phone #.

Not enough wind to sail on Sat for the gear I brought. FYI, At Lake St beach, metal barriers at the parking lot, no close parking, must lug gear 70 yds to water, sucks that they block access. Parking lots at Marquette Park also blocked, equally long walk to water.
