_{Clinton lake Illinois tomorrow?} some of us from St. Louis are thinking about sailing at Clinton lake tomorrow, can any of you give us advice where to launch from?

Looking at it myself but they are talking about rain. Just have to keep an eye on rain. I think the Marina is best.

Looks like a good day for the Marina. SSW wind in the 6.9 to 5.8 maybe 4.7 range. Bring all your gear.


Bob, you can go to the Launches page(top Menu), then open launch list menu, then click "more", scroll down to Clinton Lake, click Marina Sail Park

Then click the directions icon



A new window will open. Enter your starting point. Zoom in to see details. I don't recommend driving across the Beginner Cove as Google indicates.

Update: They put rain on it. Storm Radar thinks the rain will just miss the lake to the west. At least the first batch. They've downed the base wind to 6.9 sail. Sylvain, I'm taking 6.9, 5.8, 4.7. I should be out there after 11:00.

Shooting for noon ish at the Marina

We are at the boondocks Grill because the two Kiteboarders I am with need a bigger place to launch so I’m not sure what I’m going to do . I may stay here and sailfishes with them
