Here’s the deal: half of Wolf is still under ice. Depends on the point of view you can take it as a glass half full or half empty. I prefer to be optimistic and believe that my midday Thursday most of the ice will be gone. The forecast is for temperatures in the 50s tonight with wind and rain which are good conditions for a rapid ice melting. The ice is over the west half of the lake currently which still enables launching and short runs and I intend to do just that in a little bit in my 110/7.5-I didn’t drive 1 hr for observations only after all!

PS: bad news for the kiters-they have planted trees! I hope there are no other surprises this year.

Not much fun both days-not enough wind on Wednesday, too much on Thursday. Lets just say I had a workout and forget about it.

Thank you Ady for the pictures. The ice was all gone on Thursday. Overpowered on 4.2 doesn't really happen that often around here. Overall, good start of the season.
