TOPIC: Campgrounds on Water?

Campgrounds on Water? 3 years 10 months ago #1

Hey all, I'm trying to get back into windsurfing after a few years off. I was a beginner/intermediate and first learned while camping out by a lake in South Carolina. I'm looking for something similar where I can pitch a tent and keep my gear rigged within a short walk from the water. Has anybody stumbled onto anything of the sort near the city?

You need to get over to the other side :-)

Wilderness State Park (north of Harbor Springs) is a great place for this:

Mears State Park (Pentwater) is just about as good, especially the northernmost sites:

I can highly recommend both!
