Hoi Reid, nice to follow you in the US. I was wondering if you know gps-speedsurfing.com? There are lovely opportunities to post your sessions and organise competitions. Greetings from Holland :-)
Early on in my windsurfing life (aournd 1989 or so) I got the good advice to try really hard to get gear that was all the same, especially sails: always buy a quiver of same make and model. It makes everything much much easier in an already difficult sport. The Chinook masts are just soooooooooo much cheaper than the same thing from other brands, and it's the best quality.
Great day yesterday (8/3)... was at St. Joe MI for the day. Once the breeze clocked north it picked up a bit and was perfect for the Super Freak 5.5 and Evo92. Big waves (7'-8') on the outside sandbar and smaller but very nice peaks closer to shore. Great jumps on the way out! Water is super warm, just wore shorts :-)
Hy guys I' m new in town and I reeeeally wanna know if this is the windy city as they say...anybody know if there's a place to go,rent stuff and go windurfing this weekend?
Thanks!
