Dan, the other option you have is Wolf Lake. At Clinton the CLSA launch at the Marina area has a nice cove, or there's the Swim Beach area(see Launches page, zoom in). Start a thread in the Chicago or Clinton Lake forum when you get closer and what days. Cheers!2 years ago

My grandson is finally grown enough to get him started in windsurfing. His mom will be putting him on a plane next week from Vermont. All my playing has been on Cedar Lake and the intent was to spend my time with him there. I know where the shallow areas are to be able to work with him and give instructions. However, the lake was closed by Lake County this week because of high bacteria. Does anyone have some other suggestions or options I can try if Cedar Lake stays closed?2 years ago

Reid Fillman Snow is melting fast. Water temp at bridge pool and Swim Beach are usually in the 50s, but don't have a temp yet. A rough of the Lauches Page is up (next to Weather on the menu).
