Great day yesterday (8/3)... was at St. Joe MI for the day. Once the breeze clocked north it picked up a bit and was perfect for the Super Freak 5.5 and Evo92. Big waves (7'-8') on the outside sandbar and smaller but very nice peaks closer to shore. Great jumps on the way out! Water is super warm, just wore shorts :-)

anyone sailing huge sails out there? I don't know why it's taking me so long to think I may be missing out, I've only sailed sails in the 6 range. i shaped a paddleboard a while ago and put a mast track in it, but haven't sailed it. Anyone doing 9.0's or 10's on paddleboards and ripping? whats it like without footstraps?, or should i sink some inserts into my deck?

Yes you can! The lake and campground are part of the same state park. The campsites are not on the lake but about 2 miles away n a nice wooded area. Very pretty place. The lake is warm and clear in the summer (spring water-fed).
