Not sure it applies to this forum, because Sayulita Mexico is more of a surf destination than anything else ...
But it feels good to brag about it. This morning I was scrapping snow off my car in Illinois, and this evening I was eating outside in a nice restaurant in Mexico.
Will try the surf later in the week
Sending warm thoughts to all of you, especially Ady, who is braving the winter
See!!! I knew it; we are missing everything!
If it wasn’t for Reid and his pertinent findings, we would have been clueless as why Sylvain traveled to this hot destination!
Thank you. Now I can’t find sleep.
You just can’t get enough “location porn” , can’t you Reid? Is this even real? I’ve never been to such a place and it looks unreal, like a virtual reality, to me. And how do you leave such a place once you get there?
Ady... this is real
Fun facts, you can see the bachelor mansion from main beach
Sayulita’s population is about 5000 people, yet there are more than 100 restaurants.
The massages are great. About $40 dollars for 1 hr
December through March is whale season. We went on an all included 1 day catamaran trip. We saw about 4 whales, and no jokes, like 20 dolphins playing with us and swimming for 10 minutes next to our catamaran. $50 dollars for the day.
Surf was amazingly simple. I guess the waves on main beach are slow enough but powerful enough where it s easy to catch green waves. I googled it later and a neighbor town was listed 5th best place to learn how to surf. Cost of renting a board $5 dollars an hour! Crazy
Food is delicious. A royal treat will cost you about 12 bucks.
The mountains the jungle and the Pacific Ocean all collapse in one place, Sayulita.
Very quaint town, 70% local, 30% Americans/Canadians
I’ll try to get pictures.
How do you leave this place...?? Dang, not sure, I had my 4 kids back here in the US, so I guess this was my motivation.
