Ezzy Sails Boom Cut Outs: 2013 Tiger vs. 2006 Wave SE

They've changed. On top is a 2013 Tiger. On the bottom is a 2006 Wave SE. The foot of the sails are lined up.




As you can see on the close up the Tiger's boom cut out not only starts higher but is also longer. When I set my boom to the top of the cut out on the 2006 Wave SE that brings the top of my boom arm to collarbone height. That's as high as the boom will go on the 2006 Wave SE for me. Now I know why the Tiger felt different when I set it on the same cut out number as the Wave SE. With the Tiger I now get a chance to try some different boom heights which changes mast-foot pressure and feel of the rig.

What? Not sure what's going on there, someone's thinking too much. Smile!
