I have a Tahe Beach/Bic 185D with a daggerboard. It was new last year, still in great shape.
I'm interested in the Mistrals, esp the 170 and Xr.

Wow, I have almost that same board but without the daggerboard. It's a 100 liter, super light but not great for me yet because I haven't unlocked the waterstart magic yet.

Wait, mine is very different, it's not a 12' longboard. It's way shorter. The longboard has the volume I would need to uphaul.

Yeah it looks like a torpedo - sorta the opposite of the Starboard Go

Those boards are pretty narrow, I think 66 cm. They will be tippier to uphaul than modern 75+ cm boards, but they have plenty of volume, with some practice should be able to uphaul almost any sail. These are not early planing boards, but they are nonplaning cruisers, will go as fast as a board can go in nonplaning mode at good upwind angles without the daggerboard and extreme upwind angles with daggerboard down. Probably very fun to go long distance adventuring in up to 15 knots.
