I bought most of this from this board 5 years ago. Turns out I really don't have time to re-learn windsurfing. Although this board is great to learn on *in flat water*, montrose is never flat when there's wind, so I'd have to drive a long way, which means sailing only on the weekends, which means I don't have enough time right now.

Bic Techno Formula 170, professionally modified:
- Rear trim box replaced with a much stronger deep tuttle box (just like later production models did).
- Fitted with a trim-fin box in a central daggerboard position. This takes an extremely fast and early planing board and makes it appropriate for a beginner to learn in light winds. If you wanna go fast, take out the trim fin, put in the long formula fin, and you're off.
Here's a review: joewindsurfer.blogspot.com/2012/07/bic-techno-formula.html

- True Ames Series II 13.74" fin (tuttle base )
- Select Ride 44cm fin (deep tuttle base)
- Extra Long stainless screws for mounting the fins.
