Has anyone made it out on the Big Lake? What is the water temp? I assume all the ice is gone?

Chris, I windsurfed last week at michigan city , i think water was about 40 deg. Ice is all gone (actually we only had a few weeks of ice this winter, mainly at the end of feb ). I got lucky and caught the strong w winds that we had, I was out on a 4.2 and 5.0 m that day

Yes, some have been out. We had a couple days in feb at dempster and at least one good day in march at michigan city. As per Alan, since he logged a massive sesh that day. The water is warming up fast.

Glad you guys are back on the water, I'm not sure if my 5.4 wet suite is thick enough for water temps in the 40's, I don't sail in that cold of water often. Seems to me you would have to put on a dry suite.
