The lack of windy days this summer meant that foiling (15 sessions total from 7/1 to 8/31) was one of the only ways to experience windsurfing. Fun, but to me, there's nothing better than riding on the fin. I like the speed and direct contact with the chop and waves... So on September 1st, during a soft NE day, I decided to rig my 9.4 sail in desperation and attached it to the 125-liter board equipped with a 42cm fin. I never tried that combo before. It turned out okay and I finally broke the foiling spell and got the chance to ride with my local Kite friends. Some might find this not worth the effort; I found it liberating!
