Looks like a good day for The Bridge launch - see Launches page. Wind SW in the 4.7 to 4.2 range. Sunny. Water temp in the bridge pool estimated to be around 70 F - yes you heard that right. Air temp in the low 50s. So bring a suit and fill it with lake water.
Fun day at The Bridge. Rigged 4.2 with 95L FSW. Had to come in and give it max down-haul and outhaul. It was raging survival sailing out there. I grabbed that log in the water and swam it to shore. Once on shore its full weight emerged. Couldn't move it an inch. Helped Rich calibrate his new Ezzy Zeta 4.7 to his mast. He had plenty of power out. We had to walk up from the bridge as the wind lifts up and over it. This side of the bridge pool is shallow with sand. We were on the right side of the bridge pool for the direction. The starboard ramps are one clue. The other being the turkey vultures were also on our side of the pool using the the wind updraft off the east side of the bridge and trees. Around 5:00 we called it a day. Water temp was 66 F. Thanks for taking some pics with your phone, Rich.
