Well, this was quite satisfying
...
I am past the apprehension hump
I was stressed about my first 2019 sesh because:
- my last 2018 sesh that was so rough
- my new board (never sailed on such a low volume board) ...
You did awesome on your new gear, Sylvain. Awesome JP board and Goya sail. And a boom to fit it perfect. You looked as if you've been sailing your new gear for years. Totally relaxed.
I made you a new avatar as promised. Can change it if you don't like.
Still working on photo "play list". Will post more later.
Great day at Peninsula. A good day to knock the rust off. Rigged 5.8 with my 108. Helped Sylvain rig his Goya 5.9. Down-hauled to the Goya dot. His JP 106 is pretty sweet. Perfect day for him to try his new gear. Around 3:30 we started to get overpowered. Around 4:00 we had to quit - too much wind. Too tired to re-rig We called it a day. Water temp at Peninsula was 60 F.
Peninsula launch. It has stairs that lead to a beach.
Sylvain (5.9 sail) Beach-started his new gear and zipped across the lake.

Sylvain (5.9 sail). Like he's been sailing his new gear for years.
Sylvain's ménage à trois with his new board and sail put a smile on his face.
Sylvain already trying to do forwards on his new gear.

The Turkey Vultures let you know you're at the right spot. They use the treeline as an uplift. "We've had loose leach and twist-off when T-Rex was on the planet. Don't make me come over there"
Guess who's back from the gulf coast heading north? We saw him last fall heading south the day before the first snow - the American white pelican. "The species also has the second largest average wingspan of any North American bird, after the California condor. In the breeding season, there is a laterally flattened "horn" on the upper bill, located about one-third the bill's length behind the tip." - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_white_pelican
