Got the direction wrong seems it will be WNW. Could perhaps work at th road or purgatory Cove. I tried to rig my 6.5 but my boom isn't long enough. I guess I'll have to just make do with my5.8 until I find a boom. I may get new sail and boom.
If I had it to do over again I would have rigged the 5.8. The first warning was the purple dashed line coming off the low(see map above). When those go through it's a boost. Second warning was the swell size coming in the cove when I pulled up. Third warning was having to pull over and give the 6.9 one click of the boom of more outhaul.(might as well just rig a 5.8 ) Fourth warning was I'm sailing the same size sail as Rich. Fifth warning was Chris is not schlogging at all on his 5.8. So it turned into an exercise of how much wind I can sail the Ezzy tiger 6.9 in. With the extra outhaul it handled very well. Chris's full Ezzy SE 5.8 and a flat Ezzy triger 6.9 looked like the same thing. It was also fun the race Rich on his 7.0. When Rich drops the hammer I can't keep up with him. It was a fun day being lit on the 6.9. I finally had to come in - overpowered. We all took a break. I went out again for another sesh and got off the water around 5:30.
More wind at the lake and STEADIER then what the meters show. Bloomington was the closest to what it was.
I had a great time, got some good runs, waa powered 96% of the time. Not bad for August! Would have been nice if I cpuld have made it up to the Big Lake.
