I'm eyeballing tomorrow, I have taken the afternoon off so will be able to get down there around 12:30pm. Not sure if the road will be a good spot to launch or not. Anyone else thinking they will make it out?

NOAA: Partly sunny, with a high near 58. North northwest wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am, then scattered showers after 1pm.

Yeah, the 11 to 4 window looks best. Hoping for NW wind as that's the best for The Road and Swim beach. NNW can get a little funky. The dry spell we've had will make me work with it.

The wind is just now turning NNW in Springfield, hopefully it will be shifting at the lake as well and picking up. Seems we will have to make do with either the road or the swim beach launch sites. Hopefully there won't be a crowded at the road, if so I may to go swim beach. I will post once I get down there to check it out. I'll be heading down there at noon.

At the road launch, looking good doing to rig and head out.

Wasn't the best wind direction for Clinton, had too much North in it. The wind was squirrely, so if you sat this one out you didn't miss much. I was also on the wrong gear, if you had a 105ltr board and 6.5 sail it would have been a good day. I was on my 93ltr with 5.8 sail. Hope it was better up north!

Keeping an eye on Saturday, thanks for the heads up Reid.

It was as funky as I thought it would be. The Road is OK with WNW but she doesn't like NNW. I got there too late. I got a workout on my 5.8 with 108L in the up and down wind. Water is close to 70 degrees at The Road.

The Road has the shortest walk. It's a great launch for NW. Huge NWs are a lot of fun in the fall with heated pool like water temps.

NNW at the road wouldn't be bad if it was blowing 30 MPH. The ramps line up nicely as they try to follow the shoreline, higher wind may take some of the funkiness out of it. Even with the little wind we had the ramps were good enough for me to get some air. I wouldn't completely write it off for a NNW.
