NOAA:South southwest wind 14 to 18 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am, then a chance of showers between 7am and 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69.
Marina launch looks like the spot again and head up the main pool for the W wind. If there's enough WNW Purgatory might work. I'm going to try to make it out there in the afternoon. Keep an eye on radar.
Another great day. I went to the Marina launch first, but decided to launch out of Purgatory. Lit on the 5.8 with the 68cm FSW. Rick made it up to the main pool from the Marina launch. We sail from 1:00 to 5:00 non stop. Bloomington and Decatur didn't reflect the wind at the lake with their meters on the east sides of their towns with the WNW wind. Champaign shows it better this time.

Standing at the top of the cove looking for a puff to launch me to the wind-line
Nice swell out there at times with the 2 miles of fetch.
Rick ripping up wind.
Perry and crew have it reefed down to take on the main pool.
Don't try this at home. As I come screaming by, Perry sticks out his hand for a High 5 Drive-By
Boom! Smacked hands
Now I'm in their wind shadow. Plenty of centimeters of clearance. Click the album link below to see more of the sequence.
Rick, nice jump! Hope we get a strong SW coming down the bridge pool so we can have a jump fest. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make it out Saturday, bummer.
