Looks like a good day for the Marina launch. 80 F water temp with 86 F air temp with wind on a Sunday will hopefully bring lots of folks out. Looks like all day wind.

Sailed 5.8 way powered up at times, then 4.8, Glenn, Rick, Perry, Reid all sailing, like to see that. John was having some fun on the water as well. Good turnout.

The lake got nicked by the very end of a line of storms around 11:00. It didn't rain but killed the wind for a half hour. I rigged a 5.8 with 108 but stayed inline with the launch once I got out there. Very rough unorganized water for the 108. It looked like it was going to kick-in so I didn't head up to The Narrows until I put the 4.7 on with the 95. Very gusty day. 20 mph with long bouts to 35 that came in waves. Raging around 4:00 pm. Dark sky to the west got us off the water. Nice to see a crowd at the lake. Sorry I didn't get pictures from shore of everybody.

Up at the west side of The Narrows. The water gets shallow on each side. You can stand up here. Note the water color change.

Checking on Glen. He hit a 10 inch diameter 40 foot long drifting log that was 3 inches under water at top speed and sheared his fin off. No damage to the fin box. He tied his life jacket to the back strap to get some directional stability. He body dragged all the way back then went out again on another fin.

Schlog-tacking the 95. Nice for a day like this.

The wind is forced around the tree lines at The Narrows and gets a boost. Also setting up flat water jibe-a-toriums on each side. Walk it first for debris before you come blazing in there.

There were ramps but not quite the steep smooth swell set-up the bridge pool makes.

I encountered the same tree floating in the water. I wasn't able to avoid it by turning so I chop Hopped over it fortunately I made it. it was the perfect trap because it was submerged under the water so you could not see it until you were on top of it. glad no serious damage happened to his board.
