NOAA: Breezy, with a west northwest wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64

Yeah, that's snow way up there. If and when that pink line goes through is what sends seagulls looking for cover.

Looks like Purgatory Cove.(again) The year of the westerly. It might get enough NW in it for The Road. Have to look at it in the morning This is the worst spring for wind since 2008, but she's making a comeback. Water temp at the West Side is around 68 F

I drove by the The Road on my way in just to check. Way to "off shore". We launched out of Purgatory. 5.8 sail for Chris. 5.8 sail for me with my RRD FSW 108. The wind was very gusty and shifty. One reach I wanted to be a 4.7 the next reach I wanted to be on a 6.9. A good workout over all. The wind held in longer than forecast as the 4:00 blow kicked in. I left wind on the table - I was a exhausted. Still feeling it today. Drove by The Road on the way out still wasn't working there.

Note to self: Bloomington, Decatur meters might read low on west wind with their meters on the east side of their towns.

Reid, are the mast pixs from a regular Gopro or is there something special you did or used?

Garry, I use a Flymount to mount my GoPro HERO4 Silver to the mast. The Flymount attaches fast, allows for lots of angles, and is very solid. The GoPro HERO4 Silver has a screen on the back so you can preview and frame your shot when mounting it.

So at what interval do you set it for pictures? and do you then sift through all the shots? Those are some great shots down the face of the sail.

Those cameras are a great tool for self coaching -they let you see and hopefully recognize what you are doing wrong. I need to buy myself one some day. Is there a big difference between the first GoPro and the latest and is it worth spending the extra cash if I'll be certainly the only one looking at the records? Also does the Flymount come with a GoPro adaptor, because I've seen adaptors sold separately on Amazon ?

I like the screen on the back of the GoPro HERO4 Silver to frame your shot. There's 2 GoPro adapters for the Flymount . I'm using the Flymount GoPro Adapter Type 2. The Flymount is sold with different package deals.

Flymount GoPro Adapter Type 2 - Sits lower and stays better locked into place on jumps but gives up side to side tilt adjustment.

Here's an older video of mine shot on a GoPro Hero ( GoPro second generation). No Flymount just the clamps GoPro supplied...
