Looks like Purgatory again. One idea would be to swim across it and launch off the east side of the cove.

Main pool went off again today. Purgatory Cove launch worked and got us right out in the action. Mostly sunny most of the day made it feel much warmer. The rigging area at Purgatory Cove is nicely sheltered. And it's hard to tell what the wind is doing. But I knew to rig a 4.7 Sailed it with 95L. I think the Champaign station gave the best reading of what was happening at the lake today. I wanted to be on a 4.2 in the gusts out there today. Chris came out late afternoon and ripped it up on his 4.8

I swam across to the east side of the cove. I could stand up a ways out to catch a gust to launch me into the main pool.

The wind raged on the far side with flat water.

Nice to have two days of solid wind on the lake. Hopefully we will get strong southerly this weekend. Was surprised that others were not out taking advantage of the warm windy weather. Jen, where were you? Have to give the Power House Pub in DeWitt a plug, their food is good and they have the only pool table close by the lake. It's the place to stop for a cold one and some food after sailing the best windsurfing location in central Illinois.
