Looks like Purgatory might be the spot if it's WNW, once that pink line goes through as seen in the map above.

Hi Reid,
From what website do you get the second (middle) image?

I'm kind of partial to windsurfillinois.com  Go to - Weather > All Weather > SailFlow Wind Forecast - Upper Midwest. Then use the arrows on the map to click through the times.

It's their old format that I can grab an easy screen shot of for tea leaf interpretation. B)

Come on down and sail Clinton with us sometime.

Thanks for the info. Would love to sail Clinton Lake at some point, though I'm not sure when that would be since kids' activities keep me pretty busy up here in Evanston. In the meantime, though, I'll keep enjoying the many good pictures of you all sailing there!

Sailed 5.2 but could have been on 4.8, couple beers at the Power House Pub and a few games of pool, life is good, will have to do it again tomorrow. Oh, The water is like 60 degrees.

The wind direction today was right on the edge of what's doable at Purgatory Cove. It still beats having to make tack after tack all the way to the main pool from the Marina launch. Water temp at Purgatory Cove is 63 F from my pool thermometer on a string. I rigged 5.8 and once to the wind line was overpowered. Swell was great with port ramp after ramp on the mile reaches. If I had it to do over again I would have sailed my 4.7.(note to self, if rogue 2 foot swells are rolling in the glassy water of the cove something is going on in the main pool)
