I finally had to breakdown and rig a sail that starts with a 5, for the first time this year. Believe it or not we sailed a new launch on Clinton that was never sailed before - The Pavilion. And it always feels like sailing a different lake. The Pavilion is a great hangout spot. Feels like a sailing club. Might be a great spot to put on an event. Plenty of shade, parking and stairs that take you right down to the water. And great views of the action. Fun day had by all.
It was great to be back on the water.
I was apprehensive but the conditions were great. As Chris said, it's like riding a bike, you do not forget (and the 135L under my feet helped too).
Most of all, Rich, Chris, Reid, I enjoyed catching up with you guys.

Great photos! I am glad you all had an amazing time! The only thing fitting in our car to Waukegan was an inflatable. I tried it on the big lake, gusting 30 knots and in the middle of a large boating competition (sailors coming in from Chicago). No chance!!! Being overpowered is one thing, having the wind pick your board into the air each time you're trying to waterstart in big waves is another. Learned a lesson
We've got to surf that beach time together!

We missed you Sepi, definitely going to sail there again.
You are so brave, you should try filling it up the inflatable with helium and seeing how high you can jump:)
