We got out there in the afternoon and the wind came up fast. Sailed 4.8. Raging out there could have been on 4.0.. Chris was on 5.2 - wanted to be on 4.7. Stinging rain hit you in the face during the best wind. Could have also sailed The Road with 300 degree direction. It makes both spots work. Swell would have been better with 280+ degrees. Wore my ION CORE 3.2. kept me warm with mid 50s air temp and no sun. Air temp was warmer out on the water than in the parking lot with water temp in the mid 70s.
I was overpowered at times just skipping across the water. I like how you get ramps both port and starboard in the main pool. I’m not sure why people get intimidated by the launch site. It’s really not that hard to get out. However, once I’m out there, it takes a lot for me to want to go in and change sails.
