We've been hurricane sailing since Gilbert (Sep, 1988).

Hurricane history tracks. All roads lead to Illinois.

Rain is a big factor. And forecasts can change fast. Will give updates.

Update:: Rain and thunderstorms as expected for Tuesday. I'm not crazy about trying to dodge fast moving thunderstorms that can flare up anywhere. Upgrade for Wednesday and no rain / storms.

I’m heading down around 10am. If anyone has a spare base and extension you are willing to loan then bring it please. My friend is coming and his 8 year old nephew to give it try, He os looking to by a rig as well if anyone is looking to sell. I just need a base and extension to get them going tomorrow. Thanks!

You should have that Chinook carbon extension (standard) of mine in your stash.

4.7 all day! Started around 11:00 am. Wind was anything from WSW to SW to W. You had to work your way above The Narrows into the main pool. Takes 15 min of pinching and tacking to get up there with WSW. Below The Narrows was gusty and shifty. Water temp is in the upper 70s. Wore my Lycra. Air temp dropped throughout the day. An air temp in the low 70s is too cold for Lyra. Wet Lyra knocks off roughly 10 degrees. So it felt like 60 degrees. I had to jump in the water to warm up every once in awhile. Got off the water around 4:30 pm. Great day.
