Purgatory Cove would be the spot if this happens this afternoon. I think cloud cover is making the green and not yellow on the maps. Window is between 1:00 and 4:00. We're losing the power of the sun this time of year to extend wind past 4:00pm. I could be talked into it and throw a 5.8 and 6.9 with 108L in the car. Watch meters and map coloration to the west of the lake for wind development coming this way. Hopefully farmers cutting down the corn can add a couple of mph to the wind

I'm loading up and heading out. I think The Road launch might be the spot with more NW wind in it to the west of us coming this way.

When i got to The Road the wind was better than I expected. I started to rig the 5.8 and thought I might get over powered. Then the wind began to slack off. Rigged the 6.9 and the wind just dropped off. I'd call it a skunking. A lot of cloud cover - not NOAA's mostly sunny by a long shot. Worth going for it , winter will be here soon.

Bloomington - Ouch, now that's a drop off.
