It was kind a light despite the sensors registering 20-30 mph. It was a perfect 7.5 and it would have been twice as nice if I didn’t waste the first half slogging badly on my new Kode 103 and 5.7. It’s a killer combo and the 5.7 finally found it’s match but the wind just wasn’t enough although the board feels corky and accelerates fast.
Beautiful day -sunny with air temp over 60 F. The water is cold of course and that may have been the reason for the lighter wind conditions. It was stronger close to both shores and almost disappeared midway in the narrows where the lake must be deepest and the water the coldest.
I just had to call it a day at 3 pm, after the winter fattening and lack of physical exercise my arms started to give up prematurely.
Nobody else came unfortunately, all by myself and a few of the kite guys who came to say hi and went sailing their boats.
