Greenwood would be solid 5.5-6.0 today from what I am reading at the crib, but I am in Cincy visiting my daughter who is a student athletic trainer for UCLA football team, playing tonight.
And I’m blown out of the water. It’s gusting over 30 mph and I didn’t bring my 94L nor any sails below 5.7 That’s what being overconfident did to me. Huge turnout-a day everyone has been waiting for. I’m taking a break now at the peak of the wind for today and will get back out as soon as it starts to drop a little bit.
And I’m done. It’s still blowing hard but I’m completely exhausted. Probably I would have been best on the 94/5.2 kit ,if I did bring it, but I didn’t. I was absolutely convinced that I wouldn’t need small gear and that was a stupid mistake I admit. Anyway I had fun blasting hard on the edge of loosing control and I crashed some jibes because of that and even came up with the phrase “ Tack for your life!” . Funny, isn’t it
I believe the conditions at Wolf were somewhere between the Lansing and the Crib sensors, with the Crib gusting over 40 at tit!
