Yes, got my first wave rides for the season. It wasn’t enough for the 94/5.7 -I had to sail broad reach to stay on the plane and sailing upwind meant shlogging only. Came in to change to single fin, but by the time I got back in the water the wind had dropped so much that I couldn’t even cross the shore break. Windsup to the rescue and the fun began for real this time . I think I sailed from noon to past 4 pm and had to bail because of complete exhaustion. Finally got a bottom and top front side turns, but figured out that I can do it only on a bigger more powerful waves because in onshore I loose the pull of the sail at the top and the wave just passes me.
Mike Mooney joined and had a nice blasting on his 120/6.6 and Chris snapped a couple of pics of me while riding his bike. Thanks for the beers and all Chris!!!
