Tuesday through Thursday are looking promising, winds above 20 mph from SW to W, warm air and little chance of rain. The water temperature of Lake Michigan is not too cold anymore either! Have you guys started making plans for sailing on those days?
I'd be interested in sailing, but I don't have much experience sailing Michigan on a West through SW. Where do you think you would launch? (Sheboygan is my home spot on lake Michigan, so I'd be looking at a bit of a drive...)

So far I'm considering the somewhere between Warren Dunes Park and St Joseph MI for Wed and Michigan City IN for Thu if the stars align.
St. Joe is pretty good on a sw. The park to launch from is called Tiscornia (just north of the channel). Bonus- stop by Third Coast Surf Shop to check out gear
Honestly, I've only sailed at Kohler-Andrae once and conditions were on-shore The waves weren't very organized--it was a bit of a mess. My only concern with a SSW is that there isn't much fetch so the waves would most likely be small.
I know that kiters will launch from Bradford Beach, which is pretty much in downtown Milwaukee, on a SSW or sometimes even on a SW.
Jacob, have you ever considered lake Winnebago? If your home launch is Sheboygan (like me), Winnebago is just 45min drive west. Wind Power's website has a good map with all the good launch spots available. On everything westward, this is my to-go lake. I'll probably be there later today BTW. Cheers!
The way it looks, Winnebago may indeed be the better option for you guys in WI. I'm considering going to Weko beach in Bridgeman, MI because I promised my wife to take her to a nice beach. Hopefully the wind won't be too offshore so I can get a few rides. Otherwise I would have gone to Wolf perhaps.
Greenwood may be another option for me too.
Gregory, I love sailing on Winnebago, but I thought the wind would be too much from the S today. (I suppose Deadwood would probably work okay or perhaps High cliff if you wanted bigger chop..) My preferred launch is Columbia park, which is absolutely awesome on W-NNW. It's ridiculously calm at my place right now (west of Milwaukee)
Yep Columbia Park should work fine on SW. Deadwood usually works great on SW as well. Right now there's 18 knots in Fond du Lac which is perfectly SW of Deadwood Point. If this holds, I'm going there later in the afternoon - 4-ish.
Maybe see you there!
