I've been trying to develop winging skills so intensively my windsurfing had been ignored, but there was a forecast for strong N wind which kicks up unfriendly shorebreak at Greenwood, so I went back to windsurfing on a strong 20 kt N wind and 6m sail. A bit nervous for debuting the season in rough conditions, it turned out to be a great day. The speed and power is still quite the rush, Severne Fox eats up chop so you can cruise right through it no fear, easy on legs and knees. Takes a lot more energy to windsurf, I can tell the difference the next day. All the failing jibes winging seemed to have improved my windsurf jibing. Great to have both sports to choose from for our various conditions.

So glad to hear you still have some passion for windsurfing, David. I had also a bit of an interesting day yesterday in Sheboygan with a forecast that looked amazing on paper but that delivered only to those patients enough to stay till sunset: After a day waiting with a bunch of kiters, wingers and windsurfers, by 5:15 the wind started to clock a bit more NNE and gave us up to 6’ super-clean swell and wind 18kn gusting 22-24kn. I had rigged earlier in the day for light wind with my 8.2 and when it finally came, I just went for it. What a workout but what a thrill. One of the best exhilarating and exhausting session I had this year so far.! Completely stoked!
Edit: And I’m writing this from my couch still trying to recover!
