The wind was expected to start SW and shift to NW as the day progressed, so I showed up early to catch the SW. It started out normal, and then by 1 pm there were 40kt gusts showing at the crib WSW, by which time I was off the water. The short video shows what we are often up against on a SW, no wind or swirly wind at the launch, schlog, then nice conditions as you cruise towards the city.
SW & NW! - windy day at Greenwood 9/3/2020

Sweet vid, David. The afternoon longboard crew had a blast with the NW winds on 6.1, 6.7, and 6.9 sails. The wind was super consistent, very little chop, and some nice swell to play around in. According to John T.'s GPS, we went about 4.5 mi offshore. Never had to use the center dagger, as there was a good amount of N in it.
