The 2 booms I busted in the video were new and were the warranty replacements for 2 other identical booms that cracked in normal sailing condition just after half a dozen sessions. In all fairness, the brand managed the situation gracefully and replaced the booms but something was obviously wrong with the construction. I ended up ditching the 4 broken booms over an 18 months period. Ultimately, I choose to move on from that brand and purchased 2 aluminum booms from Duotone. If I bust one of these, it won't be as painful to replace!
