Unexpectedly, yesterday I did my very first successful strap-to-strap planing jibe while doing some runs inside the Sheboygan harbor. I didn't really plan for it; I just looked down for a fraction of a second and saw the strap just next to my foot and, instead of repositioning my front foot near the mast base as I do usually, I just slide it in the strap and that was it! Nothing to it really, but so much more efficient. That has to be my technical milestone of the year!
