Looks like it might be a good day for Purgatory. WNW wind 6.9 to 5.8. I think it might be gust chasing 5.8 wind, It will be cold(upper 40s to low 50s by afternoon) but full sun. Lake might fog with water temps in the mid to upper 70s. Bring your coffee. Anybody else thinking about it?

Nice day at Purgatory. I went by The Road first. It was offshore and light. It was rippin' at Purgatory. Got there a little bit before 1:00. Rigged 5.8 with 108 FSW. Wore my 5/4/3 suit. Full sun made things feel warmer. Jump in for an instant warm up. Got off the water a little after 5:30.

Wind at the lake was better than the meters.

Summer is officially over. An American White Pelican dropped down from Canada like he knows something.

He's on his way to the gulf. Maybe he hung out at Clinton for a bit to let the hurricane pass.

It's the right direction when the cove is shadowed with gusts trying to sneak in.

Had the whole lake to myself. 2 miles of fetch out of the dam pool up wind.

Yep, the water temp is in the mid 70s

I'm breaking the fin loose.

Using the swell. For a small lake gotta love the main pool. She likes to swell. Long troughs to zip down and jump. You should see it in 4.2 conditions.

Getting kind of low here. I'll be alright.

If you need more surface area for planing use your back. I bounced right back up and kept sailing. :woohoo:

You can pick where the wind is best within the 1 mile reach.

[Great day. 'till next time.

Well, he's off to head farther south. The next day it snowed in Bloomington and Champaign.
