South wind (170 to 180 degrees) in the 5.8 range. West Side water temp is down to around 54 F. 55 F and below things go numb that don't have rubber on'em. We could try The Corner. It should have 10 degree warmer water. Thoughts?
If it's not enough wind to register a gust on the hour the wind is pretty light. See graphs below. The wind zone was from Bloomington on north missing the lake. The 4:00 blow did kick in. I launched off the boat ramp at The Corner.. It was easier than the rip-rap in the bridge pool.. You can shorten your walk by rigging on one of the grass islands in the parking lot close to the ramp. Went out with 5,8 on 108. Got to try my 1 mm hood under my helmet. Worked great. Wind was fading when I hit the water. I was able to find some gusts and see how close to shore I could sail for future speed runs when this place goes off like in the past. Much flatter water here than at the dam pool. Schlog days are always a good workout.
Stay to the right, east side of the buoys. Stumps in there.

Me (5.8 sail) This is what I'm talking about. Even flatter up in front of the houses where there's not much treeline. I'm gonna try to touch 40 mph if I can get the day here.
Me (5.8 sail) Looking down the bridge pool.
Me (5.8 sail) Ripped my best jibe of the year here. Sick spot.
