Will probably make a trip with the whole family to Clinton lake
After sending subliminal messages to the kids for the last 2 years, my oldest kid, 13, said he missed windsurfing.
I am a fulfilled father, knowing my kids have been raised properly

I think the Marina is the spot for Saturday. Nice thing about windsurfing is you can schlog out to the wind-line. SSE to S wind in the 6.9 range don't leave a 5.8 at home. Clinton lake water temp at its coldest spot is 66 F. Air temp should hit around 80 F. Who wants to race me up to the Dam Pool and back - the Défi Wind Clinton?

Update: Downgrade. :( They put rain on it. I'm out until I see something different. This is the worst spring since 2008.

I will say. This was a success. I did not lose my temper. The kids did not cry nor complain. In fact they all were able to go a few yards forward. My oldest even was able to go one way... fall... and come back.
Not sure why but I was exhausted at the end of the day

And, definitely need something between a 2.5 (too small) and a 4.7 (Too large) for my wife and my 13 years old

Fun Saturday at the Marina. Everybody practiced good distancing. Sailed 6.9. Started around 11:00 am. I could reach from the marina Sail Cove all the way to Peninsula. That's 2 miles shore to shore. In the SSE wind. Got on plane a couple of time in the early wind. Not even white-capping. I'm guessing I can plane the 6.9 with 108 and 36 fin in 15mph puffs. Sailed with Rich at The Narrows. While Sylvain gave his kids lessons in the Sail Cove. Water warm enough some folks didn't need neoprene. I came in for a break and saw that Springfield and Decatur switched to SSW. This was the real wind. The 4:00 blow was on its way. I got back out there with Rich and we had a blast. Lit on the 6.9. I think I could have sailed my 5.8 for a half an hour. I ran out of GoPro battery and didn't get a chance to capture my speed. I was hauling ass. Not many motorboats out for this weekend. It was an all day good workout. Great to see everybody... from a distance.

I can still get away with strap to strap jibes with the 6.9 Ezzy Tiger's short boom length on the 108 FSW.
