Regarding Wolf lake: how bad is the bottom there? I've heard people refer to rebar underwater mines and thick mud bottom.

Wuuut?! How many Wolf Lakes are there in the area? The one I'm going to- near Hammond, IN- has no such things in it, lol

There are actually two Wolf Lakes in IN, but I definitely meant the Hammond one!

I haven't actually sailed there but had heard the bottom was kind of gross and there was debris underwater at the launch. Not so?

Nothing gross at Wolf. Just all-natural weeds and some all-natural rocks near shore.

Well if they're all natural they have to be good for me!

Thanks for all the advice on here, going to put it to good use. My next session if the conditions are good I've got a little list of things to work on:

-Get more weight into the harness and boom
-practice turning up and turning down to get used to the bear away for planing
-Get the harness lines set on shore

Also want to work on tacks with the big sail, I think I need to get the rig fwd faster as well as be more aggressive with scissoring my legs to turn down. Spent a lot of time stuck aiming too high and sliding sideways.
