Wind turned north in afternoon, so Greenwood worked starting about 2:30 for what turned out to be probably the most full sailing crowd of the year, 11 sailors plus 2 kiters who were allowed to launch and sail. No staff monitoring the beach or checking permits, only there to keep swimmers out of the water. Wind was decent 6.5 to 7.5 from 2:30 to past 6, easy shorebreak.
Very cool, David! It was about the same here in Sheboygan - Though a bit lighter. It became nice by 4pm with a steady 15kn. I dusted off my 9.4 NP V8 that I hadn't used in more than a year and gave it a shot for a "No-schlogg" session. Can't complain: Fin session in warm water, what else to ask for at the end of summer?!
