TOPIC: Greenwood Beach 9/10/20

Greenwood Beach 9/10/20 3 years 7 months ago #1

Decent morning session at Greenwood on a NE with 3 other sailors on 5.8-6.9 until the wind came down at 10 am. Video shows the shorebreak, onshore wind and current made it tricky getting out, took the whole length of the beach to clear the break wall, fortunately the high water levels have caused the waves to lose their punch.

Glad you guys got some rides!

Were the fences still up and intact?

I rode my bike past South Blvd. beach yesterday, all the fences were still up and there were two parks dept guys on duty - I was hoping they would be gone after Labor Day! So I'm assuming they are still keeping windsurfers from using anything but Greenwood, I'm wondering how long it will last.

At least at Greenwood our launch site fences have been taken down, park rig and launch like we used to. Hoping that Lee St will become unattended shortly to use that beach for S and SW.
