David was here! That tells you something. Good day , good turnout and I should have come a little later probably because I got too tired and too cold by 3 o’clock already and maybe I missed the better part of the afternoon. Oh well, can’t have it all. Got what I came for and had a good time on the 103/5.7 combo. So much less work and so much more enjoyable then the 94 for the typical Wolf conditions. I should have bought that middle size years ago, because it’s great both for Wolf and Lake Michigan for the common 6.0 to 5.0 conditions.

The wind today was somewhere between those two sensors readings as usual, not bad at all for March.

The first half of the session is missing completely and so unfortunately my Duck Jibes :( I’m positive the camera /boom mount/ was on, but apparently I failed to start the recording. So here comes the second half /mast mount/ :

I have the feeling that the 103/5.7 will challenge this year the 110/7.5 for the most used kit title.

Look how beautiful the water is peeling! That tail cuts like a knife through butter.

This one would have been cool if it was of a bottom turn on a wave face, instead of capturing the moment before the sail hits the water in a failed Downwind 360. Going over a set of nasty chop doesn’t help with maintaining speed . When will I start thinking before going for?!

Coming in at the same time as David. Until that moment I didn’t realize that’s him, but was wondering who’s the guy with the Hot Sails.

Leaving the camera recording on the beach turns in interesting footage like Macek literally slamming his kit to the ground. I wonder what got him so upset?!

In contrast David putting his brand new Severne Fox gently down:

It’s over. I wish I could have stayed a little longer, but the consequences from the party the night before were felt severely:

It was a beautiful first day of the season for me, haven't been to Wolf in at least 3 years. The Severne Fox handles the chop very well for a board 6cm wider than I am used to, but it flew a bit in the 6.0 conditions. I can't plane through jibes yet on it. One particularly irritating and possibly dangerous characteristic is that my feet get stuck in the foot straps, even when they were (too) loose for me and I even back my foot out a bit in preparation for jibe. The foot pads are extremely grippy, and they are built with a big slope (thicker toward the middle of the board), ostensibly for more comfortable blasting. Just not used to pulling out with such force. Maybe some sand paper needed.

Man, that looked like the perfect March day! Would have joined the fun if I didn’t had to travel that day...
I’ll monitor the next opportunity!
Ady: your lay down jibes are looking great. Front arm stretched, etc. I want to do the same! :)

Nice session & photos, I am curious what are the water depths at this pond?

Not as familiar as some others, but about 2ft at the launch area until about 20 yards out, then can’t touch bottom until near the edges of the lake where you can touch bottom, no risk of running aground with a fin.
