Little cold for me. I might go down there though to watch the cold water spectacle and walk my dog. Did windchill calculations, 42 degrees with 25mph feels like 32 and at 30 mph feels like 31.

Ended up going land sailing at White Oak Church parking lot. Not bad spot, it’s out in the middle of the wind farm south of Evergreen Lake. There’s no trees or anything obstructing the wind. Then took dog for a hike at Evergreen, great weather! Ady, how was sailing?

It was fine. We sailed together with Roman, me on my 6.5/110 and he on his 5.8/ big board. I hoped to use my new 103 Kode, but I received it last night and left the foot straps set up for the morning not realizing how much time and effort it will take. Then in the morning being already late I just gave up after the first foot strap for gear I’m going to waste too much time. Probably that was the right thing to do anyway because a brand new straps and pads need time to settle down and have to be tightened a few times etc.

This is how it looked like. We got in during the peak and after that it started to drop gradually. Roman sailed in the narrows while I stayed in front of the marina hence no footage of us sailing close by.

I punched in my sail early in the session. This sails monofilm panels have become so brittle that it took just a little bit of a knee to break. That’s the sixth patch I’m doing on it and it is running out of space gor patches, I need to replace it before the next season.

All patched up.

Nothing interesting to post-just average speed and little else. Can’t complain though, its the middle of December.
