For Chris,
Any opinion yet on that Score V98 if you've had the chance to sail it properly yet? Just curious, I haven't yet had the chance to sail the board I replaced it with, Fanatic STB 95.
I’ve sailed it three times but can’t really tell much right now as I’m recovering from a broken ankle. I will be able to tell more when I’m 100% healed. However, I will say that it doesn’t carve through the jibes like my custom does. Having the extra volume is helping me while I recover.
David, you should come down sometime for board test and anyone else that wants to try the board. Take turns seeing what we can do with it. I like Mistral boards, don’t know why I don’t se them more often but being road by older guys like me up on lake Michigan . I saw two just like mine one trip to Oval Beach.
The results are in for the Unofficial Défi Wind Clinton Lake. 1st place:: Ady. What were the other places?...nobody gives a shit. Fun day at West Side with Chris and Ady. Great to see Chris getting more mobile every time I see him. Wind was 170 to 180 degrees S in the morning/midday. In the late afternoon it was 180 to 200 degrees S-SSW. You could make a case for the Marina, but we got our fill by then. I took Ady over to show him the spillway and closing race ceremony. We'll have to do this again. Maybe we could use a passing motorboat's wake as a start line. "Boat's coming, get ready"

Start boat showed up. Ady (7.5 sail) Hey, you're sailing in the white caps, that's cheating!
Catching up to Ady for race start while he schlogs at the Peninsula narrows.
What seems to be the deal up here, Ady. Oohh there's no wind. Ady did a great tactical move to move up wind a shadow me with that big ass 7.5
One thing you can't do is give Ady dark texture(gust). It doesn't look good for me right here as I'm still stuck in the hole
The dark texture finally hits me but Ady is gone. And then I wind up schlogging again. Steady offshore ocean wind is for wusses. This is the Unofficial Défi Wind Clinton Lake!
I'm finally blasting my way down there. I'm trying to make up for almost 7 minutes of schlogging in the hole. But Ady is already coming back.
And Ady's got dark texture on his way back.
Wait a sec, he can't make the narrows. He'll have to tack. Now's my chance. But no, he made it! He caught another lucky gust and was able pinch up wind around it. Wow.
Working my way back, but now the wind was so bad I couldn't even schlog in the harness. This is the Unofficial Défi Wind Clinton Lake!
End of race. Way to go, Ady!
What a nice day. Ady getting a few more runs in.
'till next time. The Power Jibe Pub security cat. He said, "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here."
I was on a Score 98 ltr. 5.8 sail was all I could rig due to boom restriction, Did get planning once maybe twice but that doesn’t matter it was a good workout and nice day to be on the water. Reid and Ady left the cripple slogging in too small of gear alone and headed to the East side of the lake and back. On the way home I stopped and picked up a fin for my 135 fanatic bee board, and I’m looking for a boom so I can rig my 6.5 or 7.0 next time and I’m in the race.
Geez, that’s one evil looking kitty! Waiting for wasted late night patrons I suppose. Any rumors of people disappearing in that village?
I dare ya to say any of this to his face. Actually it's a sweety. It came right up to me. I was petting it as you were pulling away. But if anybody yells "Security!" I would get in your car.
