A first timer pilgrim is planing on joining too-Roman-one of the Wolf regulars who is too shy aparently to post here his intentions. Well this is starting to look like a mass event

NOAA: Increasing clouds, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a south wind 13 to 18 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph.















NOAA has south wind at 190 degrees. Sailflow has south wind at 170 degrees. Wind should be 4.7 to 4.2 range. I think the water may still be a little too cold for me and a little too offshore. I'm waiting for a bridge pool day. Good luck boys.

Looked online to see water temp, they are showing 39 degees. Not sure my 5;4 wetsuit is good enough to protect me from that. I also see rain west of us. Starting to question going today. Will make the call at noon.

Don’t be sissy Chris, its not that cold . We started with Roman on 5.7 and 5.8 respectively, but now came in to downsize to 5.2 and 5.0. Gusty but the bright sun makes everything look awesome. Great day so far.

At least I got the gear loaded up and noticed my hole in the toe of my boot, going to patch it, had forgot all about that. Some of my gear needs TLC for when I do make it out next opportunity. Ady, you and Roman have earned some beers paid for by the windsurf Illinois good will ambassador ( That's me ). Next time I see you on the water!

Well I kinda missed you Chris today Roman wasn’t up for the “ Power Jibe” pub, so Im having a burger, salad and hot tea in the Clinton’s McDonalds right now, so in that sense you owe me a beer. Well catch up on that next time, which might not be so soon if we get another polar vortex next week. Speaking of which -Wednesday has some potential...hopefully.
We called it a day early, after a bit of rain came in and killed the wind. Without the warming sun it wasn’t so nice anymore and we both were too tired anyway. It was a heavy work for me on the 94 in the lulls and with all the winter blubber that I managed to put on. Roman had it easier on his 110 , but he got tired too regardless.
We are fortunate to have Clinton lake and I’m greatfull to you guys for opening my eyes for it.
Thanks to you and the amazing lake I had my first session last year on 01.21 and this year it is 01.26 -incredible !
